Whether it’s sound mixing, colour correcting, research and development, scriptwriting, or audio recording. . . Oren digs in to get the job done. After a classic education through liberal arts and world travel, he learned the filmmakers’ craft on the job at Rooney Productions in Wakefield, Quebec. Once he landed in Nova Scotia, he directed and produced his debut documentary short, Charles’ Farm, which premiered at the Atlantic Film Festival in 2008 and enjoyed screenings around the world. Oren has also written for the stage and produced radio for CBC’s Global Village. A musician by training, Oren is a self-proclaimed expert on all things Sound. With his natural technical savvy, he keeps the motion pictures at Journeyman looking and sounding good.
Oren is also a student of Herbal Medicine, a martial artist in Brazilian Capoeira, and plays keyboards in the Halifax funk jam band Zumbini Circus.
